The History of QUAD1916 - Peter James Walker was born in 1916, educated at Oundle, England and worked for EMI and GEC. 1936 - The company was founded by audio master Peter Walker, under the tiltle, the ‘Acoustical Manufacturing Company’ started to produce ‘Public Address’ systems and compact amplifiers.
